Three wild questions raised from the new Avengers: End Game trailer5 min read
The latest trailer to End Game marked the initiation of tickets going sale internationally. The entire featurette was surprisingly filled with new footage, with tons of doubtful points and maybe, some Marvel illusion( remember Infinity War?). However, new footage infers we need to discuss over it, so here are we.
Statutory warning before we jump in, all the below points are speculations and opinionated by individuals who love and watch the comic book movies as much as you do, probably more! None of it is a direct insight from the Studio or anyone associated with the project. So let’s start.
Is Thanos from Infinity War dead?
Well, to start with, Thanos shows up in his glimmery armor for the first time (yeah, and we are not making an article about it) through Bi-frost, and not the Space Gem. And yes, the guys who edited the trailer made sure we can’t figure out whether he is wearing the infinity gauntlet or not.
So this naturally arises the genuine question: Is this a different Thanos? As in, Thanos from a different timeline? Maybe the end scene of Avengers: Infinity War was indeed his end? This can really outgrow to wild speculations with an infinite scope but the whole prospect of it is too hard not to be tempted about. You think otherwise? comment down below! You can also check about how we discussed over an earlier weekly talk: if the deaths are permanent, will Avengers 4 make things right on another timeline?
Is Tony been out there longer?
Seeing how people are already going crazy about Tony on Twitter(and we won’t make an article about it), people are going to kill me. But what if Tony has been up there for longer than what we think him to be? And that has changed him as a person and how he personifies things. The handshake between Tony and Steve kind of solidifies that.
A year and a half ago, set leaks amounted to wild speculations: Old Tony speaking to a different and younger Avengers and walking around in a SWAT suit with Loki and Thor re-enacting the Avengers scene. All that somehow looms large over this new trailer but one can always wonder as to what depths Disney and Marvel could have gone to prevent spoilers from kicking in. I don’t blame them!
Is End Game following the same pattern as Infinity War: to push in two different directions to serve the ultimately same purpose and…..destiny? Hard to tell, as we see some of the alive characters missing in the picture above as the World’s mightiest makes their last stand against the Mad Titan.
However, this doesn’t affect much of the…except, WHAT IS THE SECOND THING THE TEAM IS GOING TO FIGHT AGAINST???? It is a daunting thing to even imagine. but we are not going to make a….you know what.
