Avengers: Infinity War almost introduced Thor’s grandfather King Bor again2 min read

Thor’s story has progressed a lot in the last 2 years with Avengers : Infinity War finally giving him the place he deserves on the big screen – the place of a god. And that came in the form of the weapon Storm-breaker , an weapon which used to be held by the mighty Beta Ray Bill in the comics. However , the way he crafted that Thanos killing weapon by going to Nidavellir was nothing sort of fascinating.

However , there was a point in time where the creators were juggling around with multiple ideas , the thought of introducing Thor’s grandfather Bor did cross their mind.“We explored a lot of different ideas of where Thor could go for that weapon,” Joe Russo explained during the director’s commentary of Avengers : Infinity War. “We even had versions of the story at one time where he was going to visit this sort of ghost of his dead grandfather – which was one version we were playing with that we didn’t end up using. I am happy where we had settled.”

With the movie revisiting to a lot of panels of the Marvel Comics and the history of MCU itself , that won’t be bad. But then again , it is a hard task to excel the way it turned out to be. Let us know what you feel about Bor’s return as a ghost and follow us for more superhero updates.
