Captain Marvel : Agent Coulson , Ronan the Accuser and more familiar faces return to MCU2 min read
Along with Samuel Jackson a lot of Mcu veterans are about to return for Captain Marvel. Hop in to know more.
Captain Marvel will be Marvel Studios’ Twenty First movie and a very important one. Not only it will be releasing before Avengers 4 : The culmination of the known MCU but also it will be Marvel’s first film with a female lead.
There is a lot of buzz around this movie already with Samuel L. Jackson joining the cast as Nick Fury and Kevin Fiege confirming that the movie will take place in nineties and will pay homage to hollywood action movies of that era.
Now additional casting news has been revealed which states that good old Phil Coulson will be joining his boss in the movie as well. That is sure an exciting news for the fans clamoring for more interconnectivity between the T.V and movie divsions of Marvel.
Also two of the Guardians Of The Galaxy actors are also returning to reprise their roles in the MCU. They are Lee Pace who played the role of Ronan The Accuser and Dijmon Hounsou who played the role of Korath The Pursuer. (Pic below) It is interesting to notice that both of these characters died in the movie but that will not be much of a factor as the movie will be set in the nineties.
Marvel has also released the official synopsis of the movie.
“The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races,” the synopsis reads. “Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”
As you can see the movie will be set mostly in space and reportedly it is going to give us the most powerful superhero in the MCU.
