Captain Marvel can move planets in MCU2 min read
When Marvel Cinematic Universe took off with Iron Man and Avengers , it flew very basic in terms of character power levels. Thor and Hulk specifically were not even an ounce of a presence they had in the comic books. But it’s understandable , grounding always gives an edge in superhero movies ; it is the basic rope of reliability for the general audience in a comic book movie.
But 10 years in with a score of movies based on Sci-fi , space comedy and civil war – Is marvel same even today ? Absolutely not ! With the audiences now adapted to the boundaries of a superhero , MCU is willing to push the boundary forward. And their first magnum opus in this new territory will be Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel like most of the uber powerful heroes has a wide range of capabilities , her strength level differing with different runs.
Her back-story demands a powerful power set and that MCU is not holding back with her is evident with Brie Larson’s statement of how powerful she is. “For me, it’s all about how far can I take myself to kind of reprogram my brain and reprogram my body to learn something new about myself, and so this has been an amazing challenge.” the 28 year old American actress said to E News. “She’s so, so strong. She can move planets so to me it was like how far can I go with this strength.“
So there you have it. That some crazy level power over there , something only omega powerful superheroes of the likes of Superman and Thor could do back in the golden age. How they going to pull this off if this happens to be a scene in Captain Marvel or the untitled Avengers 4 , is a different content whole together.
