Captain Marvel joins the billion-dollar club; End Game now confirmed to be 3-hr long2 min read
Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel is now in the billion dollar club, the seventh movie in the $18 B franchise to do so. This gargantuan amount accounts from a $360 M from North America and another $644 M from foreign soils. Captain Marvel is also the first female-led superhero movie to do so. This does not solidify the prospect of a sequel but also is a huge boost for the studio going into Avengers: End Game.
End: Game, as all fans know it to be, will end the infinity saga; a streak throughout a plethora of 22 movies. There has been a rumor in recent times that the highly anticipated flick will be clocked at around 3 hours. The director duo now officially seems to confirm to Comicbook.com that Avengers: End Game will be in fact 3 hours and 58 seconds long. They had to fasten up the credits, the acclaimed Russo brothers joked.
With that being said, DC is looking up to cover the gap between the remaining time between Captain Marvel and Avengers: End Game with their own Captain Marvel, Shazam. The studio is targetting at a $45 M – $55 M opening for the movie, already running in about 4200 theatres. The World’s mightiest mortal is getting critical acclaim as it remains to be seen how well of a commercial success it will be.
