CW Crossover : Flash and Arrow switch roles while a Black Suit Superman is on its way3 min read
The DC CW shows have initiated for this year and thus the next thing to talk about is the CW crossover of the DC Characters. Irrespective of the quality of the shows , it can be said that the crossover has been always up to the mark and filled with chivalry pulled out from the DC lore.
And his year’s going to be no different , as CW teases interesting things from now on. The fifth crossover of this epic CW saga will take place from Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8 p.m.and conclude at Supergirl on Tuesday the 11th at 8 p.m.
While we don’ have any solid context on what story the crossover will be based upon , we do have a image from CW which captions ” Destiny will be Rewritten” and promises the same. Have a look :
So somehow Barry and Oliver has switched roles ! Willingly ? Different timeline ? Different multi-verse ? Only time will tell. But the series of interesting reveals do not end over there.
Stephen Amell took to Twitter to reveal this photo which sees Tyler Hoechlin in a black suit. The picture a once opens up possibilities to a whole new level.
Well certainly Grant ! It is the same reaction I had while first seeing his picture. While the color black has been used plenty of times in a variety of way in the bright and benevolent attire of the last son of Krypton , the little patch of grey hair by his ears might let us give a clearer picture.
While black is symbolic with Superman and reminds us of the times when the man of steel had issues coping with his own virtues and ideals , in modern times it usually implies of the time he was resurrected after being killed by Doomsday.
However this one in particular reminds me of Bruce Timm’s Beyond run.
This version of Superman often wonders whether the modern world needs Superman at all and might be an ideal way to question and reprove the iconic Superhero’s legacy.
Since we are talking about the beyond timelines , one may wonder whether one can catch a glimpse of Terry McGinnis’ Batman. That is highly unlikely as that place is already been given in the crossover to Bat Woman , being played by Ruby Rose.
GRIMM star Elizabeth Tulloch will be also joining as Lois Lane and most probably will have a role in the crossover. Putting this Superman in a world where both Flash and Arrow are facing an identity crisis will be worth watching for sure.
