Dave Bautista confirms Drax coming back to Avengers 4 and GOTG v33 min read
Avengers : Infinity War pulled down the curtains on a pretty ominous tone turning half of the universe in dust and the villain already winning the match. But fortunately (or unfortunately , depending upon how you stand with Thanos) this is not a one-set game. With the second movie coming out in less than a year , it promises more epic things for everyone.
Will it be better for everyone ? Not necessarily ! But at least we can say this , most of the effects the Infinity Gauntlet did with the Mad Titan’s snap will be reversed. How ? Well , this is purely made on an analysis of the characters that were ceased to exist and the future plans the studio has for the characters.
With Spider-man and Black Panther being the definite example , Drax actor Dave Bautista has opened up about his character’s future in the universe. In an interview with Collider to promote his upcoming gig Hotel Artemis , the 49 year old wrestler-turned-actor spoke up about the fans adressing his character’s death. “I got a lot of texts saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead.’ They were really like heartbroken,” Bautista said adding how its actually not true. “and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in four. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.’ I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back.“
Does it spoil the fun ? Well , of course its on how one see it but it looks like rolling out news of future movies should be a thing to avoid. But considering how many projects Marvel is handling right now and how many actors and actresses they have to keep on bay from speak about their future projects , it definitely gets impossible at a point.
Personally , I felt that killing lesser characters would have given a more thought provoking texture to the event. It’s not too wise to think of audiences falling for the death of characters like Black-Panther , Spider-man and most of the Gaurdians , leave alone that Spider-man is still a SONY property. In a way they also give out the fact that others would be returning as well , which viewers might not have been so sure otherwise.
However , ultimately it will be interesting to see what the untitled Avengers 4 bring to us and how it would help shape the new MCU. With Avengers : Infinity War almost at the edge to be the first Comic book movie to enter the $2 billion club and the entirety of the Marvel universe at an uncertainity , expectations is at an all-high.Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below and follow us for more superhero updates.
