DC and Marvel together ? Possible ? Hear what’s Justice League has to say !4 min read
From day one , I have never understood how exactly can the rivalry exists between the 2 companies when they are so close to one another in terms of quality and entertainment value. Then I found out it was the fans and not the companies ! I guess some people just want to discuss and tear the other over childish matters than enjoy both and appreciate the golden era of comic book movies we are living in ? Well guess what ? Finally someone has put some words out on the table.
You live in an era where in 6 months you are getting a Justice League and a Infinity War live action movie , and you find quarreling over Hulk vs Superman with someone you never met a better option ? I mean , come on ! Deep down , we are all comic book fans or someone who loves those character. So why vouch and fall for guys who are not ? You can not define love with hate ever , and the modern day society is the living proof of that. I do not always say this but I am taking the opportunity of this news to clear up my mind of indignities crawling all around us.
So , the Justice League crew came for an interview with Channel news Asia and unlike most other interviewers , the cast was asked a very interesting question about a possibility of a DC Marvel crossover movie. The Marvel DC crossover has happened in the comics back in the days and the Amalgam/crossover issues are a memory to cherish even today. The decision making rises from DC and Marvel to Disney and Warner Brothers though as to if Avengers and Justice League could meet some day on the big screen. The cast’s reply to the question was both delightful and encouraging , at least to our team. Here is the tweet from the channel’s official twitter itself :

Gal Gadot who plays Wonder Woman gives a very satisfying reply saying “there is a room for all of us” and that many of her friends work in Marvel. Indeed that’s VERY MUCH TRUE. But what’s really resonates with my opinion is what Henry Cavill says when he is asked the same question.
“I think the rivalry lives in the fans more so than it does in us,” said Henry.Obviously , one encourages and upholds the other. Because when audience starts disliking one , the fatigue over superhero likability is near. And that is a thing to be more feared of rather than the disgusting and monotonous Marvel vs DC things that are rumbling all over the internet. We live in a comic book era which is prosperous but approaching its peak. Its only a downhill path after that. People who expect this to be an eternal affair are very much ignorant of the fact of how this works. We , as comic book fans , should be grateful that we are getting such awesome movies from all companies together on such a big budget scale. Imagine the days back in 1990s and what was the interval between 2 Comic book movies (CBM) was back then.
Jason Momoa is more of an excited fellow and would love to be a part of a crossover and face off with the likes of Hulk and Thor . “Hell yeah! I mean like, Hemsworth, I love him. It’s like, to be next to Thor, or to be next to the Hulk. It’s like ‘oh, I’m going to take you out on the water and drown your ass” , he said.
Why should my hype for the first live-action Justice League movie bring demeanor to my love for Thor : Ragnarok ? Why can’t I accept Batman is awesome and equally be pumped for The Punisher ? At the end of the day , a DC Marvel crossover is very tough to convert from a theory to a reality. But then again , it’s much easier than ending all wars and grief in this world.
