Marvel Studios has reportedly turned to Black List writer for the upcoming ‘Eternals’ movie2 min read
Just after we got the news that Marvel Studios is on the verge on making a new franchise based on Eternals ( made by Jack Kirby) , things look to be rolling down fast for it. Hollywood Reporter reports that Marvel Studios has turned to Matthew and Ryan Firpo for writing down the script.
For those who don’t know about Celestials , the saga of the Eternals began millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered and near-immortal beings and a more monstrous off-shoot known as the Deviants. The two races moved behind the scenes throughout human history while also engaging in Game of Thrones-style cosmic power-plays. Among the characters are Ikaris, fueled by cosmic energy; Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans; and Thena, often mistaken for the Greek goddess Athena.
The cousins are best known for writing Ruin , a spec story that topped the 2017 Black List. Eternals will be taking another seat in the almost unclear slate of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four. Till now , we have the faintest idea that Spider-man sequel , Black Panther sequel , Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 and the Black Widow standalone are some of the movies that can take up the space in the 2020-2022 span.
